Financial Policies

It is important for our patients to understand our financial policies upfront before their first visit. The conditions that are treated by orofacial and oral medicine specialists, are mostly limited to the muscles, joints, and nerves of the head and neck region, medical complications of the mouth, and obstructive sleep apnea. These conditions are rarely related to the teeth, therefore most of our procedures are not covered by your dental insurance. Most of the conditions we treat, are covered under your medical insurance. As dentists, we are not able to become “in network” providers for traditional medical or healthcare insurance carriers. However, that does not mean that your treatment cannot be compensated by your medical insurance. We expect payment in full during your visits, and what our office will do is provide you with all the clinical notes, medical diagnoses, medical codes, and a superbill, that you can easily submit directly to your insurance carrier. They will in turn, mail your insurance re-imbursement check directly to you the patient. We keep our fees fair and within industry standards, so that every patient can affordably cover the cost of their treatment. We accept, cash, check, all major credit cards, and we also offer financing through “Care Credit”.
